Whoo hoo! Each week we’ll randomly select one person who’s logged a workout. The weekly prize will be randomly selected by the folks at Brooks each Friday. (See comments below for our lucky winners.)
Please note : We want to encourage people to be healthy and active, but not overdo their training and risk injury, and so we’ve implemented a sophisticated system that rewards regular but not excessive exercise. The American College of Sports Medicine recommends moderate to vigorous cardio exercise 3 to 5 days a week, and strength training exercises twice a week. To encourage all of us to strive for optimal wellness, our system will reward you with more chances to win as you work toward this goal. However, physical activity has inherent medical risks, and in no way do we condone or encourage over training, and excessive physical activity. The system will limit the additional chances to win in cases where logged workouts exceed the recommended amount of physical activity per week according to the ACSM.
your challenges are helping me train harder than i have ever.i have a feeling that i’ll be really ready for track this year because of you guys.thank you so much!you have no idea how much you are helping me!thank you, again! =]
* Most Run miles:
1. running339 - 319.8 miles
2. ultradevon - 234.72 miles
3. brandymcqee17 - 186.3 miles
Participants are eligible to win one challenge each month, so coreball3 will have his choice of taking the prize from either the “most calories” or “most hours” category.
Technically that would leave EITHER miaharney or ultradevon as the prize winner of the other category. But more prizes are more fun, so we’ll declare them BOTH winners of their respective categories for their #2 showings.
Congrats coreball3, miaharney, ultradevon and running339 - I will shoot you an email offline to get you hooked up with your prizes.
Good! I was going to take the calories prize just so ultradevon could get a prize. He deserves it after what he has been through…and probably is still going through.
Jah Bless you all!! Thanks Brooks for the challenge and Sweat365 for giving me a place to blog. Also, Give thanks to coreball3, miaharney, and running339 for taking me to a competitive level. It was fun:) I did not get to participate in Xterra and will not get to participate in Honolulu. HURT 100 is still an option but I will find out on Wednesday. Give Thanks for all you who support me on and off blog. You all are a blessing. Happy Holidays:)
anyone wants winter tip let me Steve Stanek Running Radio Talk Shoe “BROOKS” This up coming Monday Live feed at (Hey region.com) WJOB 1230 AM (9:00am cst)
Meredith, can we have runner100 removed or at least checked, because I find it hard to believe that he logged over 5 days of exercise in 6 total days, not to mention 20 days. I think this should be a fair competition and I know that it is easy for people to lie, but that just destroys the whole purpose of this community: to stay in shape during the winter and to meet fellow runners.
Thanks
coreball-
I understand what you think, it is just that I had an ultramarathon just prior, so it is just that i ran the 100 in 53 hours. sorry for your confusion.
@runner100 - Congrats on your recent 100 mile run! that’s impressive. I’m starting to warm up to the idea that that might be my next ridiculous goal. Sounds like my kind of torture.
congrats runner100. dont think anyone will catch you. how long ago was your 100 miler. Congrats . i could never do something like that. i love running but not that much
I have to catch him, at all costs. But if he does another workout I am screwed. LOL. I learned that biking more than an hour on a stationary bike can get really boring. Any other creative ways to get those hours in while burning lots of calories?
Finally catching up on some post-holiday housekeeping (that is, before I go on vacation again…Happy New Year!) and we have more RANDOM WINNERS to report!
coreball3, Happy New Year and those are good suggestions. The January 2009 prizes could be socks, a hat and a Brooks athletic bag. May 2009 be an active, healthy and fast year for all of the Sweat365 bloggers.
Usually around the 9th of January I would expect. They have to give everyone a chance to log their workouts. I’d say you have the miles run and total time categories pretty wrapped up tho.
Most Miles Run
1. running339: 457.30 miles (!!)
2. runner100: 453.22 miles (!!)
3. rkestner: 433.08 (!!)
These are some serious hours/calories/miles put in here…how much are you guys eating these days??
That leaves us with
* runner100: A pair of Brooks running shoes and a Brooks technical long-sleeved running top!
* soccerruner3: A pair of Brooks running shoes, a Brooks running hat, and some snazzy new running gloves!
* running339: A pair of Brooks running shoes and 10 pairs of fresh new running socks!
I just realized that running339 already won the November challenge for most miles run, and as stated above, each winner can only win the same category one time. running339: you’ve been demoted to an EZ T!
That makes runner100 the winner of both the most hours and most miles categories. So you get your choice of prizes from either category. Congratulations!
It should then all work out if rkestner is elevated to the declared prize winner of the most miles run category, which scores you a pair of Brooks running shoes and 10 pairs of fresh new running socks!
Sorry for any confusion - and congrats to everyone!
I will get the most hours category, thanks. By chance how do I choose which shoes and tech top to get??? Is there just one to choose, or anyone from the site? Thanks.
Yes! We used those for high school cross country and I loved them. I wish there was a way to increase my chances of winning. Curse the randomness of a random drawing.
They haven’t been updated, but if you click the Leader Board tab on top there is a small link at the top left that says “Change Report Options” which lets you view the leaders that way.
Please valentine401, what is your reason for posting a 1,000 mile run under 1 workout? Tell me that was your total mileage and you didn’t do it all at once, because that would be nearly impossible and painful. I just want it to be fair for the leaders to have a chance.
It took me a awhile to say anything, but in all fairness I just have to ask if runner100’s december mileage log is correct. Runner100, did you really run two 100 mile ultras in a single week?
Not that I doubt one was completed(i’ve done ultras and know the feeling) but I’ve yet to meet anyone who did two 100 mile events in a single week in addition to 3 runs in excess 20 miles in the same week as your log portrays. (i.e. 125 miles total on the dec 16th, 22 miles on the 19th, and 126 mile on the 20th).
If this was truly done, my aplogies, 273 miles over 5 day period is just freaking amazing, hats off to ya!
But then i ask which utlra(s) was/were run? To the best of my knowledge, for the far majority of ultras, the course closes at 30 hours for 100 miles, and you said it took ya 52 hours.
Also, how did you stay awake that long? In 5 days, there’s 120 hours, and per your log you ran for roughly 115 hours in a five day period.
All I can come up with is you either entered a sleep deprivation/endurance study, or perhaps made and error in you log that should be corrected… and to the exent a error was made, for the integrity of the site please correct your log. If it ends up that you are not a prize winner for december, that’s cool, use it as motivation to take the leaderboard challenge for another month.
My apologies if I’m in error, I’m all for pushing the limits and helping other do the same, but at some point I just got to know if what you did is for real. Cause if so I’d like to know more about your training/nutrition/recovery regieme in the hope I might learn something.
Here’s to hoping you don’t take my inquiry the wrong way. Good luck in your training.
heather.kick needs help. She has workout for 14 hours one day and 12 hours another day. I think she needs to be check. How does someone workout that long and has everything imputed before 4 pm. shwe would have had to wake up at like 3 in the morning and workout none stop the whole day.
I know, both of you just logged almost 2 days worth of workouts in the last 3-4 days. Its kinda crazy to believe sometimes. When do you sleep, eat, and work?
running is my job. i ahve a loving wife that allows me to just train. i’m not on the internet everyday to be able to add my workouts so i have to add it when i am on like every couple of days.
This is Brad Hefta-Gaub, I am one of the Co-Founders of Sweat365.com, I wanted to jump in and help provide a little perspective on this challenge/group.
We recognize that these “leader boards” are based on the honor system, there’s not much we can do to prove someone really did the exercise they claimed to do. But we feel that focusing only on the statistics misses the point of the community.
This is why, in partnership with Brooks Sports we’ve decided to evolved these “challenges” and now are focused on awarding random prizes to all participants who enter a workout during the lottery period (once per week).
Our goal is to encourage everyone to have a good time, and find an inspiration toward reaching their fitness goals.
When is Jan winners going to be posted. I feel you coreball3. Im never lucky to win the random prizes. hope training is going well for everyone and have a great weekend
I am a personal trainer. I spend a lot of my day either working out. Some of my clients like when I do strength and cardio with them. I work up to 6 days/week varying form 4-12 hours/day, depending on the day.
Ultras range 50k-6+ days. Some are a specific mileage with a time limit, but some are just specific time frames and you complete as many miles as you can.
I have done 19 ultras including 50k, 50 miles, 100 miles, 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, and also a 6 Day Race.
I ran the Cliff Young Australian 6 Day Race in 2005, and completed 285 miles, and I was not in first place. I did not sleep a lot in that race.
I just think its funny that as soon as the Monthly Challenges ended runner100 and running339 both stopped logging ANY workouts but before they were averaging 6+ hours a day and sometimes 50+ miles in a couple days.
Winners for our final set of monthly challenges for January are in…without further ado:
* Total Hours [Prize: A pair of Brooks running shoes and a Brooks technical long-sleeved running top]
• heather.kick - 9 days 16 hours 48 min - WINNER!
• running339 - 9 days 9 hours 34 min
• runner100 - 6 days 21 hours 12 min
Total Calories Burned [Prize: A pair of Brooks running shoes, a Brooks running hat, and some snazzy new running gloves]
• runner100 - 142,164 - WINNER!
• heather.kick - 136,780
• running339 - 105,624
Miles Run [Prize: A pair of Brooks running shoes and 10 pairs of fresh new running socks]
• mjmiles - 453.5miles - WINNER!
• catocalon* - 439.66 miles
• runner100 - 429 miles
*catocalon: I see you haven’t won a prize before, and 439 miles in a month is incredible - so you’ve won a runner-up prize of free shoes. Sounds like you need them!
I’ll be following up with all the winners via email so watch your inboxes.
THANKS to everybody who participated in the monthly challenges. From here we’re looking at ramping up the random weekly prizes but let us know what else you’d like to see.
I have to call heather.kick out again. You are questioning someones elses workout when you workout for 12 hours straight. you must be the best personal trainer in the world to be booked for 12 hours. i was a personal trainer too and i never worked a 12 hour day. also did you not take a break at all. you just went for a 4 hour bike and then a 3 hour run. im sorry but i think that bull. If you did then all the power to you but i am a professtional runner and my body couldnt handle that much working out and able to get up the next day and do it all over again.
I didn’t work that day, but worked out at home. Yes, I did bike 4 hours, and then ran 3 hours. I ate/drank while on the bike. I don’t just run. I do lots of cross-training and flexibility as well. I have run 100+ miles in less than 24 hours in races numerous times. I have done 19 ultras, with 10 of them being 100+ miles.
I don’t work 12 hour days every day, just some split shifts days.
This is Brad Hefta-Gaub, Co-Founder of Sweat365. I wanted to jump in a say a few words about these prizes and the concept of these challenges in general.
As I said in my last comment on this topic, our goal of this program is to inspire everyone to have a good time, and enjoy their fitness efforts with the idea that they might win some prizes.
I am often accused by my friends and family of being a “fitness nut”… they wonder how it is that I manage to workout as much as I do, let alone enjoy all that time sweating. But for those of us who’ve been bit by the fitness bug, we know all to well how much we’d rather be working out than almost anything else.
I am impressed by everyone who’s participated in these challenges. You all deserve a big round of congratulations.
We acknowledge that sometimes errors or types happen, which is why before we ‘certified’ these winners we reviewed everyone’s logbook and looked for potential double entries or types. Some of you may have even received email from me asking about this.
I am a naturally trusting person, and believe that people are unlikely to put extra energy into fabricating a story in order to win a contest like this. In our review of last months results we think things look pretty reasonable.
Unfortunately, we’ve seen over the last couple months, that when we make challenges based on “volume” of workouts the competitive spirit comes out in many of us, and we lose sight of this bigger goal.
We want to encourage people to be healthy and active, but not overdo their training and risk injury, and so moving forward we’ve implemented a sophisticated system that rewards regular but not excessive exercise.
Thanks for your continued participation and feedback, we appreciate your involvement. We hope you all continue to enjoy the rewards of participating in this program.
We’ve got a new winner: sassified.sweat365.com won last week’s prize of any NightLife item. Congrats! (sassified: I’ll send you an email offline to hook you up with your prize.)
Speaking of, if you’re into fun contests you should check out what Brooks has going on at http://www.runhappyplace.com.
[...] they give prizes to the people who run the happiest (which is to say, the most), but they also have random winners. I only managed to get one workout in last week, but I was still selected as the random winner. How [...]
Got my winner for last week and it’s http://boyerdav7909.sweat365.com/. Congrats to David! He won any Brooks NightLife item plus a free 3 month coaching package from Focus n Fly.
Looks like he’s been very busy training for a half ironman and has already logged a run and a spin workout today. Woo-hoo!
I’ll update the prize for the coming week in a few minutes here with something for spring. We’ve also got one more coaching package to give away so we’ll throw that in the mix too.
Howdy folks — David snapped up a cool Nightlife Jacket but doesn’t have a need for the coaching program, so the first person who wants it and responds to this post can have it!
You’ve got it coreball! I’ll forward your email to them and they’ll follow up with your login info.
It starts by you inputting some info about your event, performance goals and running background and then it suggests a training plan. From there it dynamically adjusts based on what you input as your actual workouts. (The last part is what really sounded cool, I’ve certainly never followed any pre-set training plan to the letter!)
You should do a post after you use it for awhile and let us know how it goes.
I’ll be taking over the prize patrol for the next few months.
Meredith and her husband Peter welcomed a new baby girl yesterday: Alexandra “Alex” (3/22/09, 7 lbs 13 oz, 20.5″ long) just after 9 a.m. Mom and baby are doing great and should be home today or tomorrow.
The random weekly prize winner for 3/16-3/22 is MiaHarney.sweat365.com!
Mia aspires to do an Ironman and is training like crazy. She’s already logged a workout for today.
Her prizes: a Brooks EZ T of her choice (here at Brooks HQ, we love the EZ Fun T) and a complimentary 3-month membership to Focus-N-Fly.
I’ll contact her offline to get her squared away with her prizes.
Next week’s prize:
Since Spring is officially here, let’s continue with the Brooks EZ T of your choice. The colors, fit, and design of this short-sleeved T are definitely “in season.”
Hello everyone. A rumor without a leg to stand on will get around some other way.
I am from Kiribati and learning to read in English, give please true I wrote the following sentence: “The biggest names in travel use priceline to sell last minute airline tickets, fill empty hotel rooms, cruises, and rental cars all at huge discounts.”
The random weekly prize winner for 3/30-04/05 is brooksrunner (http://brooksrunner.sweat365.com/) from Carlisle, PA. That he chose his moniker to be brooksrunner is pure coincidence, honest!
Brooksrunner has won the Brooks EZ T of his choice. He’s been contacted about his prize.
I would just like to thank brooks for everything. I am serious it was just pure coincidence that my name was called. I picked that handle because all I wear is Brooks so no other name would fit as good as this. Happy running people.
The weekly random prize remains the same for all of April: the awesome jackets posted above. I’ll get random weekly winners drawn and posted by next Tuesday at the latest.
The random weekly prize winner for 5/4-5/10 is bigdave_nv! A triathlete in training, bigdave_nv has won his choice of a Tienkin II Jacket or our new men’s prize for the next few weeks: an HVAC T or HVAC Trainer!
Congratulations! Keep logging those workouts, everyone!
Meredith was out on maternity leave (I’m baaaack) and Penelope’s been swamped. But YES the prizes are still on and we will be catching up today so watch your inboxes.
I’ll post the winners from the last few weeks here later today.
This week’s winner of the shorts: http://nfoote.sweat365.com. We just launched some new gear for fall so I will update the prize for next week - stay tuned!
I don’t think my lack of winning has anything to do with effort, or amount of workouts logged. More like bad luck. I was just surprised you could win multiple times while others miss out. It’s not like I’m going to stop running, just because I don’t win The ones early on who won shoes did that.
Sue was indeed just extra lucky! But props to her - when I contacted her, she let me know she’d be willing to let somebody else have it since she just won. But she had such a good attitude, I didn’t feel good about reassinging the prize!
Of course we all like to have MORE winners so here are TWO winners of last week’s vest: http://mitchr.sweat365.com and http://spin0.sweat365.com. Congrats! I’ll contact you offline about getting your prize.
I’ll pick another vest winner on Friday and then we’ll mix up the prize for next week.

December 1st, 2008 at 9:39 pm
when will the leaders find out when they can claim there prize.
December 2nd, 2008 at 10:37 pm
Hello there-
We’ll give folks till END OF DAY TOMORROW to log any workouts from November, and then we’ll post the winners by the end of the week. Woo-hoo!
Also, the random winners of the NightLife hats have been contacted. They were:
- Week 1: neversaydie
- Week 2: amyerica
- Week 3: marathonerwannabe
cascadia and coreball3 are also “bonus winners” for the first week — and we’ll plan to throw some additional names into the “hat” this week too!
As for random prizes, we’ll do another round of NightLife hats for this week and then mix things up next week — so stay tuned and run happy!

Congrats to all the winners and good luck in January!
January 9th, 2009 at 7:33 pm
Oops - stop the presses!
January 9th, 2009 at 10:07 pm
What if runner100 chooses the socks prize?

I will get the most hours category, thanks. By chance how do I choose which shoes and tech top to get??? Is there just one to choose, or anyone from the site? Thanks.
January 10th, 2009 at 3:08 am
From past experience its pretty much open to whatever you want: any pair of shoes and whichever long sleeve top your want.
January 10th, 2009 at 1:26 pm
oh, thanks. thats cool! I was just wondering cause that just opens possibles.
thanks!
January 13th, 2009 at 12:26 am
OK, the new weekly random prize is a BOULDER BAG or a PODIUM TEAM PACK!! http://www.brooksrunning.com/dyn_prodlist.php?k=27970
January 13th, 2009 at 3:13 am
Yes! We used those for high school cross country and I loved them. I wish there was a way to increase my chances of winning. Curse the randomness of a random drawing.
January 16th, 2009 at 4:57 pm
I can’t see the leaderboards for january, are those up yet, or just need updated.
Thanks.
January 17th, 2009 at 12:31 am
They haven’t been updated, but if you click the Leader Board tab on top there is a small link at the top left that says “Change Report Options” which lets you view the leaders that way.
January 21st, 2009 at 1:02 am
Please valentine401, what is your reason for posting a 1,000 mile run under 1 workout? Tell me that was your total mileage and you didn’t do it all at once, because that would be nearly impossible and painful. I just want it to be fair for the leaders to have a chance.
January 28th, 2009 at 3:53 am
So…
It took me a awhile to say anything, but in all fairness I just have to ask if runner100’s december mileage log is correct.
January 31st, 2009 at 1:14 am
I don’t think I did, log two the same week! I’ll go check and see, if so it will be changed… Thanks for letting me know.
I have yet to me someone who has too.
January 31st, 2009 at 2:07 am
Yeah…
So I’m going to call you out again Runner100.
I log on tonight to track my run and notice that somehow your magically the mileage leader…
Out of curiosity I take a look at your log and notice that you’ve already logged your run for tomorrow including how many minutes it took ya…
You got a crystal ball or something? one hour and 23 min for your 10 mile run tomorrow is nice, hope it lines up as logged today.
Also noticed the crystal ball told you you’d be swimming for two hours and doing general cardio for 2 hours on sunday as well.
Wow, sunday has yet to begin and you’ve already put in 5 and half hours of exercise, keep it up, I’m motivated for sure…
Moderators, can we get rid of this joker?
January 31st, 2009 at 2:13 am
P.S.
Be sure to change your log ASAP, if done quickly enough, no one else will notice.
January 31st, 2009 at 11:41 pm
heather.kick needs help. She has workout for 14 hours one day and 12 hours another day. I think she needs to be check. How does someone workout that long and has everything imputed before 4 pm. shwe would have had to wake up at like 3 in the morning and workout none stop the whole day.
January 31st, 2009 at 11:52 pm
Im done. theres no way for a honest person to win these prizes again. you have peopel sayintg they workout for 12 hours a day. come on. thats a lie
February 1st, 2009 at 4:37 am
I know, both of you just logged almost 2 days worth of workouts in the last 3-4 days. Its kinda crazy to believe sometimes. When do you sleep, eat, and work?
February 1st, 2009 at 9:19 am
running is my job. i ahve a loving wife that allows me to just train. i’m not on the internet everyday to be able to add my workouts so i have to add it when i am on like every couple of days.
February 2nd, 2009 at 2:09 am
If you log more workouts do you have a greater chance at winning the random prize?
(I.E. do you get an entry for every workout you have logged?)
February 2nd, 2009 at 4:46 am
Hi Everybody,
This is Brad Hefta-Gaub, I am one of the Co-Founders of Sweat365.com, I wanted to jump in and help provide a little perspective on this challenge/group.
We encourage you all to simply have fun, track your workouts for all the reasons we’ve listed here: http://sweat365.com/library/articles/general-fitness/tracking-your-workouts/
And, you consider the prizes to be a bonus on top of what you already were going to do anyway.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me directly through my blog: http://brad.sweat365.com, or email at bradh@sweat365.com, or on Twitter at @zappoman.
Thanks for your continued participation and feedback, we appreciate your involvement.
Sincerely,
-Brad

February 2nd, 2009 at 8:27 pm
Darn, no dice.
Congrats to all the winners though!
February 6th, 2009 at 8:31 pm
When is Jan winners going to be posted. I feel you coreball3. Im never lucky to win the random prizes. hope training is going well for everyone and have a great weekend
February 7th, 2009 at 5:04 am
Yeah, I just really wanted the bag. I don’t know why, my high school XC team had them and I was addicted to them for some odd reason.
February 9th, 2009 at 2:52 pm
I am a personal trainer. I spend a lot of my day either working out. Some of my clients like when I do strength and cardio with them. I work up to 6 days/week varying form 4-12 hours/day, depending on the day.
February 9th, 2009 at 3:43 pm
Maybe Runner 100 did do the 273 miles in 5 days.
February 9th, 2009 at 8:55 pm
Last week’s random winner of the WRV or Ephiphany Jacket:
perry: http://perry.sweat365.com/
Congrats, Perry!
The jackets are cool so I’ll keep them as the prize for this week too.
February 11th, 2009 at 9:25 pm
I am pretty sure that minrva08 did not take 10:03:00.00 to run 6 miles. I am thinking typo should be 1:03:00
February 12th, 2009 at 2:25 am
My thoughts as well
February 12th, 2009 at 2:28 am
goofyrunners also seem incorrect
February 13th, 2009 at 5:14 am
Who are the winners for January.
February 13th, 2009 at 7:59 pm
I just think its funny that as soon as the Monthly Challenges ended runner100 and running339 both stopped logging ANY workouts but before they were averaging 6+ hours a day and sometimes 50+ miles in a couple days.
February 13th, 2009 at 8:32 pm
Winners for our final set of monthly challenges for January are in…without further ado:
* Total Hours [Prize: A pair of Brooks running shoes and a Brooks technical long-sleeved running top]

• running339 - 9 days 9 hours 34 min
• runner100 - 6 days 21 hours 12 min

THANKS to everybody who participated in the monthly challenges. From here we’re looking at ramping up the random weekly prizes but let us know what else you’d like to see.
Cheers!
February 13th, 2009 at 8:55 pm
I have to call heather.kick out again. You are questioning someones elses workout when you workout for 12 hours straight. you must be the best personal trainer in the world to be booked for 12 hours. i was a personal trainer too and i never worked a 12 hour day. also did you not take a break at all. you just went for a 4 hour bike and then a 3 hour run. im sorry but i think that bull. If you did then all the power to you but i am a professtional runner and my body couldnt handle that much working out and able to get up the next day and do it all over again.
February 13th, 2009 at 9:23 pm
Also it said that u had saturday off so u worked out for 12 hours and had the day off. just wondering.
February 13th, 2009 at 10:12 pm
I didn’t work that day, but worked out at home. Yes, I did bike 4 hours, and then ran 3 hours. I ate/drank while on the bike. I don’t just run. I do lots of cross-training and flexibility as well. I have run 100+ miles in less than 24 hours in races numerous times. I have done 19 ultras, with 10 of them being 100+ miles.
I don’t work 12 hour days every day, just some split shifts days.
February 13th, 2009 at 11:09 pm
Hi Again,
This is Brad Hefta-Gaub, Co-Founder of Sweat365.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me directly through my blog: http://brad.sweat365.com, or email at bradh@sweat365.com, or on Twitter at @zappoman.
Thanks for your continued participation and feedback, we appreciate your involvement. We hope you all continue to enjoy the rewards of participating in this program.
Sincerely,
-Brad

Got my winner for last week and it’s http://boyerdav7909.sweat365.com/. Congrats to David! He won any Brooks NightLife item plus a free 3 month coaching package from Focus n Fly.
Looks like he’s been very busy training for a half ironman and has already logged a run and a spin workout today. Woo-hoo!
I’ll update the prize for the coming week in a few minutes here with something for spring. We’ve also got one more coaching package to give away so we’ll throw that in the mix too.
Run Happy!
March 16th, 2009 at 7:33 pm
Wow, that is just too cool. I forgot about the weekly prizes. Thank you so much brooks!
March 16th, 2009 at 8:17 pm
Howdy folks — David snapped up a cool Nightlife Jacket but doesn’t have a need for the coaching program, so the first person who wants it and responds to this post can have it!
Check out http://www.focusnfly.com for details. Go!
March 16th, 2009 at 10:56 pm
I would love something like this! Do they just email you a suggest workout plan for your current goals?
Thanks!
March 17th, 2009 at 3:38 am
You’ve got it coreball! I’ll forward your email to them and they’ll follow up with your login info.
It starts by you inputting some info about your event, performance goals and running background and then it suggests a training plan. From there it dynamically adjusts based on what you input as your actual workouts. (The last part is what really sounded cool, I’ve certainly never followed any pre-set training plan to the letter!)
You should do a post after you use it for awhile and let us know how it goes.
Cheers!
March 17th, 2009 at 3:52 am
Will do! Thanks! Keep up the good work.
March 17th, 2009 at 3:15 pm
Coreball3, I hope you enjoy it. Let us know how it goes.
March 23rd, 2009 at 5:55 pm
Hey everyone,
I’ll be taking over the prize patrol for the next few months.
The colors, fit, and design of this short-sleeved T are definitely “in season.”
cheers!
March 26th, 2009 at 3:47 pm
I received my Nightlife Jacket yesterday. I love the jacket. So cool, Thanks Brooks.
I was able to use it first thing this morning for a nice bike ride.
March 30th, 2009 at 5:33 pm
Hi everyone,
Our random weekly prize winner for 3/23-3/29 is amarky (http://amarky.sweat365.com/)!
She’s won the Brooks EZ T of her choice! I’ve contacted her offline to get that set up.
Cheers!

April 6th, 2009 at 11:52 pm
Hi everybody,
The random weekly prize winner for 3/30-04/05 is brooksrunner (http://brooksrunner.sweat365.com/) from Carlisle, PA. That he chose his moniker to be brooksrunner is pure coincidence, honest!
Brooksrunner has won the Brooks EZ T of his choice. He’s been contacted about his prize.
We’ll change up the prize for this next week.
April 10th, 2009 at 4:39 am
I would just like to thank brooks for everything. I am serious it was just pure coincidence that my name was called. I picked that handle because all I wear is Brooks so no other name would fit as good as this. Happy running people.
April 21st, 2009 at 7:05 pm
Are there going to be any more weekly prizes or has that ended?
April 21st, 2009 at 7:28 pm
Yes, Coreball3, there are still prizes. I’m just running a little behind.
I should have the last two posted by the end of the week. Or, at latest, with next week’s.
Prize is same.
Thanks for understanding. Had to have my gall bladder removed quite unexpectedly. Still recuperating at home.
Cheers,
-penelope

Last week’s winner of the vest: http://suefromyourpaceormine.sweat365.com. Congrats Sue!
We’ll do another round of vests next week.
Happy weekend!
August 22nd, 2009 at 1:48 am
Sue wins again? She just won on 6/8 - 6/14.
September 1st, 2009 at 1:45 am
One advantage to logging lots of workouts is you have a slightly greater probability of winning. Keep up the sweating!
September 1st, 2009 at 4:01 pm
I don’t think my lack of winning has anything to do with effort, or amount of workouts logged. More like bad luck. I was just surprised you could win multiple times while others miss out. It’s not like I’m going to stop running, just because I don’t win
The ones early on who won shoes did that.
September 1st, 2009 at 6:57 pm
Hey everybody:
Sue was indeed just extra lucky! But props to her - when I contacted her, she let me know she’d be willing to let somebody else have it since she just won. But she had such a good attitude, I didn’t feel good about reassinging the prize!
Of course we all like to have MORE winners so here are TWO winners of last week’s vest:
http://mitchr.sweat365.com and
http://spin0.sweat365.com. Congrats! I’ll contact you offline about getting your prize.
I’ll pick another vest winner on Friday and then we’ll mix up the prize for next week.
Happy Tuesday–
Meredith
