My goals are: I have competed nationally and internationally as a masters track and field athlete, as well as in open meets. I am a multi event athlete...primary events are throws but i also do sprints jumps and pent/deca. always working on explosive strength, and speed. Trying to find the balance of better endurance without losing muscle mass

It wasn't too long ago that I was losing 5K's to 5 year olds. I never considered myself a runner, but after college I decided I need to get out to the gym and outside my comfort zone. When a friend told me about Camp Pendleton Mud Run, that was it, I knew I had found my goal.
Since then it has been a long, bumpy road. One thing is for certain though, I am quite addicted. Now I'm trianing for my first marathon, which will be on my 26th birthday on November 26. In the future I can already see many more marathons and hopefully triathalons ahead. All in good time.
